HIGH-QUALITY
METAL PRESSINGS
AND STAMPINGS.
Frank Dudley Limited (FDL) is one of the UK’s leading metal pressing companies, trusted by manufacturers across automotive, aerospace, commercial vehicles and more. We produce custom metal pressings, stampings and welded assemblies to the highest standards – with a reputation built on quality, reliability and competitive pricing.
Operating from our modern Birmingham facility, we offer press capabilities ranging from 25 to 800 tonnes across our progression and tandem lines. We also support new package programmes and provide overflow resource support for OEM and Tier 1 customers. Whether you need stainless steel pressings, aluminium pressings, or press forming in mild steel, our experienced teams have the equipment and expertise to deliver.
At the core of our pressing capability is an 800-tonne progression press, featuring our largest bed size of 4,000mm x 2,130mm, enabling complex progression tool line-ups and high-volume production efficiency.
Getting every component right first time is fundamental to how we operate. Our continued investment in both our people and our machinery means you receive consistent, quality metal pressings – on time, every time.

CUSTOM METAL PRESSINGS
AND STAMPINGS
At the heart of our capability lies a range of small to large bed power presses, supporting single operation, progression and tandem lines for maximum flexibility. Our facility specialises in precision metal pressings using high-quality materials like stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium, ranging from 0.5mm to 15mm thick. Operations enabled through specialist tooling include forming, piercing, coining, marking, drawing, and blanking/cropping to meet diverse project needs. Finishes such as chemical black, polished, plating (zinc, chrome), and paint (powder, e-coat) ensure superior aesthetics and durability, supporting prototyping, low volume and high volume series production.

Medium to high-volume production with stable, predictable output.

Consistent dimensional accuracy and surface finish across batches.

Collaborative engineering support from initial concept through to SOP and beyond.
Our Press Shop
We operate a range of manual and progression presses, giving us the flexibility to handle both simple blanking work and complex multi-stage progressive tooling. All presses are maintained in-house and available for short or long production runs.
